Chicago honors Rev. Jesse Jackson as memorial services begin
Memorial services for civil rights icon Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. began today, Feb. 26, 2026, in Chicago. Jackson, who died at age 84, will lie in repose at the Rainbow PUSH Coalition headquarters for two days before traveling to South Carolina and Washington, D.C. The week-long tribute celebrates the life of the protégé of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and two-time presidential candidate.
