Rev. Jesse Jackson returns home to South Carolina
Civil rights icon Rev. Jesse Jackson returned to his native South Carolina on Monday, March 2, 2026, to lie in state at the Statehouse in Columbia. Following his death on February 17 at age 84, the two-time presidential candidate was honored with a horse-drawn procession and a public viewing.
