Lilburn double murder: Lawrenceville man sentenced to life
A 55-year-old Lawrenceville man will likely spend the rest of his life behind bars after pleading guilty to a violent 2025 shooting spree that left two people dead. Javier Aragon Ruiz was sentenced Tuesday for the murders of a young man and a teenager, an attack the prosecution says was fueled by "perceived disrespect." The sentencing brings a close to a case that shocked the Lilburn community and a local church congregation where both the defendant and his victims were members.
