Retired deputy released from hospital after hit-and-run
A retired Fulton County deputy has been treated and released from the hospital after a hit-and-run at the Publix Atlanta Marathon on Sunday, March 1, 2026. The former sergeant was on his motorcycle directing traffic when he was struck by a vehicle. Atlanta Police have since taken the driver into custody and released an update on the deputy’s condition.
