"Keep Your Pay Act": Sen. Cory Booker proposes tax-free income
Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) officially introduced the "Keep Your Pay Act" on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. The ambitious tax reform bill seeks to eliminate federal income tax on the first $75,000 of earnings for married couples by more than doubling the standard deduction. Aimed at middle-class relief, the plan also includes a $2,400 "baby bonus" and expanded tax credits for families and low-income workers.
