Aloka the peace dog recovering, to rejoin monks' walk

Aloka, the beloved "Peace Dog" accompanying Buddhist monks on their Walk for Peace to Washington D.C., is recovering from successful ligament surgery in South Carolina. Undergoing laser therapy, icing, and range-of-motion exercises, Aloka is expected to rejoin the monks by the end of the week. Supporters can donate to the Veterinary Care Foundation or the monks’ mission for peace and nonviolence.
