White House shooter identified as Maryland man
New details are emerging about the gunman who opened fire outside the White House late Saturday before being shot and killed by the Secret Service. The incident triggered a terrifying sequence of events at the executive mansion around 6 p.m.. White House reporters were forced to duck for cover after hearing a volley of gunshots, rushing into the briefing room as the entire complex was immediately placed on lockdown. President Donald Trump was inside the White House at the time of the shooting but was unharmed and continued working through the evening in the Oval Office.
