Students lead push for Georgia pandering felony bill
A group of students from a Fayette County private school has successfully advocated for a major shift in Georgia's criminal code. The "Pandering and Pimping" bill, which increases the penalty for these offenses from a misdemeanor to a felony, has passed both chambers of the Georgia General Assembly. Inspired by the students' grassroots efforts and sponsored by a local State Senator, the legislation now heads to Governor Brian Kemp's desk to be signed into law.
