Atlanta restaurants announce permanent closures
Several popular Atlanta restaurants are shutting down amid rising costs and economic pressure. Longtime barbecue favorite Daddy D’z BBQ Joynt will close at the end of December after 35 years. Southwestern spot Agave plans to shut its doors by January 31, 2026. In Buckhead, steakhouse Dantanna’s is closing after more than two decades. And after three decades, neighborhood staple Eats on Ponce is on the list as well. The wave of closures reflects mounting challenges for independent restaurants across the city.
