Justice dept seeks death penalty amid new Trump actions
The Justice Department says it will seek the death penalty in the attack that killed one National Guard officer and injured another near the White House. President Trump held a cabinet meeting today, discussing tariffs, border security, and his push to eliminate several federal taxes. The administration is also reviewing Afghan refugees who arrived after the U.S. withdrawal and facing questions over recent strikes on alleged drug-trafficking boats from Venezuela that have killed more than 80 suspects.
