Pint-sized Pomeranian chases bear out of home

Scout wasn't about to let a black bear snoop around his home.

A feisty Pomeranian didn’t hesitate to protect her home when a black bear wandered inside. 

Home surveillance video from Kayla Kleine in Vancouver, British Columbia, shows the bear walking around the house before 3-year-old Scout goes on the attack. Scout fearlessly chases the bear out of the house and through the yard.

Kleine told Storyful that Scout may have been protecting his food bowl, which the bear helped himself to. The bear is a regular in their yard.

Kleine posted a follow-up video of the proud pooch on TikTok with the caption: "He’s been like this ever since he defeated the bear."

According to the British Columbia government website, there are 120,000 - 160,000 black bears in the Canadian province, which equals about a fourth of all black bears in Canada.
