Atlanta police investigate deadly apartment complex shooting
A 17-year-old is dead and a 15-year-old is in the hospital after officials say the teens were shot while breaking into cars at a southeast Atlanta apartment complex. Authorities say the event occurred early in the morning when the teens were confronted and a shootout commenced.
ATLANTA - Officers are investigating a shooting that left one teen dead and another injured at a southeast Atlanta apartment complex.
Investigators tell FOX 5 a group of teens was allegedly caught breaking into cars at the Skylark Apartment homes in the 1000 block of Boulevard SE.

Two teenagers wounded in shooting at Atlanta apartments
Police say two teenagers are injured after someone reportedly caught them breaking into cars at an Atlanta apartment complex.
According to police, a person at the apartments confronted the group and shots were fired - hitting two teenagers. One has since died. The other is in the hospital in stable condition.
Officials say the teens fled the area in a Jeep they had stolen from the complex and ended up at the Forest Cove apartment complex located in the 900 block of New Town Circle, where someone called for help.
Bullet holes could be seen in that Jeep as the vehicle was towed away later that morning.
Investigators have not identified the teenagers other than saying one of them is a juvenile and the other is 17 years old.
The other person involved in the shooting has also not been identified.
There's no word on possible charges for anyone in connection with the shooting.
