Woman shot in the leg in Atlanta rushed to hospital

ATLANTA - Atlanta detectives are investigating a shooting in which a woman was shot in the leg Sunday.

Officers discovered the injured woman on Myrtle Drive. She had been hit in her left leg.

She was alert, conscious and breathing when she was taken to a local hospital.

This investigation remains ongoing.
