Prosecutor: Moore broke into victim's home, threatened self harm
Moore's arraignment appeared virtually from the district court in Ann Arbor.
The prosecutor requested Moore receive a mental health evaluation and a GPS tether. She also asked for a $25,000 cash/surety bond and that Moore stay away from the victim in the case.
She said Moore and the victim had a relationship for a number of years before she broke up with him. She broke things off with Moore on Monday of this week. He then allegedly made "numerous phone calls and sending numerous texts" to the victim.
"She did not answer, did not respond or did not want that," the prosecutor said. "Eventually, she presented herself to the University of Michigan, cooperated in some form of the investigation."
On Wednesday, he traveled to her home, "barged his way" into the victim's apartment, and grabbed several knives and threatened to kill himself.
He then fled after the victim threatened to call police.

Sherrone Moore firing: University began investigation in the summer
Author John U. Bacon says the University of Michigan was aware of problems within its football department since at least the summer.
Investigation into ex-Michigan coach started last summer
Former University of Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore and the staffer he had a relationship with were investigated by the university as recently as this past summer, according to author and historian John U. Bacon.
According to Bacon, the university was aware of an alleged affair between head coach Sherrone Moore since at least this past summer. The school investigated and questioned both Moore and the staffer and they both denied it.
However, she changed her stance Wednesday morning.
"That story changed yesterday morning when she went on the Hill, as we say, the administration office with the receipts, the text messages, the emails, documents and so on, laying out the details of their relationship and the conflicts thereof. And that of course resulted in Sherrone Moore being fired," Bacon said.
Sherrone Moore update: University of Michigan investigated relationship last summer
In an explosive interview, author John U. Bacon says the University of Michigan had details about a relationship between Sherrone Moore and a staffer this past summer.
The backstory:
Moore, 39, was detained Wednesday in connection with an incident that happened in Pittsfield Township around the time the news was made public that U of M had fired him over what the university described as "an inappropriate relationship with a staff member."
Following news of Moore's firing and detainment in Washtenaw County, the Pittsfield Township Police Department released a press release that stated that officers were investigating an alleged assault at an apartment on Wednesday afternoon. However, that release did not specifically link Moore to the incident.
The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office did confirm Moore was in custody at the jail.
