Man found shot to death inside apartment identified

ATLANTA - A man as gunned down in a northwest Atlanta apartment complex over the weekend.

Darius Rippy, 46, was found shot to death by his girlfriend at his apartment on Harwell Place Saturday morning. Police officers were called out to the 200 block around 8:20 a.m. after receiving a 911 call Police said Rippy’s body was found on the floor in the living room.

Rippy’s girlfriend said he last spoke to him around 5:30 that morning.

Investigators are hoping the ballistic evidence will help to identify the killer.

No word on a possible suspect or motive in the case.
