A judge ordered the Kennedy Center to hand over more than a quarter-million dollars to Chuck Redd, the musician who had canceled a Christmas Eve performance in protest against adding President Donald Trump’s name to the building.

D.C. Superior Court Judge Tanya Jones Bosier gave the arts center 45 days to pay $252,000 to Redd to cover the legal fees and costs he incurred after the Kennedy Center sued him following the cancellation.
