Shooting investigation outside DeKalb County lounge

Police are at the scene of a reported shooting in the parking lot of a DeKalb County nightclub and flea market off Glenwood Road near Interstate 285.

Police are investigating a shooting outside a DeKalb County nightclub and flea market that left one security guard dead and another hospitalized early Tuesday morning.

FOX 5 cameras found an active scene and heavy police presence outside the Cosmopolitan Premier Lounge on the 4500 block of Glenwood Road near Interstate 285.

Crime scene investigators were on the scene focusing on at least one vehicle in the parking lot of lounge.

A number of shell casings and evidence markers could be seen littering the parking lot.

According to police, officers responded to the lounge after reports of two person shot.

Investigators believe there was a dispute inside the club and customers wer told to leave. Once outside, the suspect started firing, hitting the two security guards, police say.

Police have not released the identity of either victim.

No one is in custody at this time. 

The investigation is ongoing.
