ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Georgia Power employees gave back in a huge way Tuesday to students at bright futures Atlanta.
Employees at the Jefferson Street office donated 80 backpacks and $1,500 worth of school supplies.
During the first two weeks of the school year, students participate in an Academic Boot Camp which prepares them for the school year.
Students who received the free backpacks said their hard work has paid off.
The citizens of Georgia Power Jefferson Street Chapter have supported Bright Futures Atlanta since last year through financial donations and volunteer projects.
