Forsyth County Walmart reopens after bomb threat investigation

An emergency evacuation at a Forsyth County Walmart has ended after sheriff's deputies issued an "all clear" following a reported bomb threat Sunday evening.

What we know:

Deputies swarmed the Walmart located at Highway 9 and Commerce Boulevard, ordering a complete evacuation of the building out of an abundance of caution.

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office deployment included explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) dogs from multiple surrounding agencies to sweep the property.

After a thorough search of the building, authorities officially gave the "all clear" and confirmed the bomb threat was unfounded.

No injuries were reported, and normal operations have resumed after the temporary delay.

What we don't know:

Sheriff's officials have not yet released any details regarding who made the threat or how it was delivered to the store. It remains unclear if investigators have identified any suspects or if any arrests are imminent. Authorities have also not disclosed how many customers or employees were inside the building when the evacuation order was given.
