Video shows aftermath of DeKalb County house fire
An elderly woman was rescued from a DeKalb County home by firefighters during an early morning fire.
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - One woman is in the hospital after a home caught fire early Thursday morning in DeKalb County.
The fire was reported along Maplewood Drive in Decatur.

Firefighters rescue woman from house fire
Firefighters in DeKalb County worked through the overnight hours to rescue a woman after a home caught fire.
According to investigators, four people were inside the home when the power went out. The family was burning candles after a tree fell on the home across the street and knocked out the power in the immediate area.
When firefighters arrived, family members told them there was a woman still inside the home. Firefighters managed to rescue that woman. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
It is unclear if that is what caused the fire.
