A recall was issued for thousands of fidget magnet toys because they may pose a severe injury hazard.

Consumer Product Safety Commission officials reported that the magnet ball toys violate mandatory standards for toys because they are loose high-powered magnets that can cause an ingestion risk to children.

The agency noted that when these magnets are swallowed, they can attract each other, other metal objects, and become stuck in the digestive system. This may result in "perforations, twisting, and/or blockage of the intestines, blood poisoning and death."

There are no reported injuries related to the magnet toys, and the CPSC noted that they were sold on Amazon between February 2025 and October 2025 for $6.
