While Atlanta police continue their search for a missing 24-year old woman, family and friends are pleading for answers in her disappearance.

They gathered Sunday morning to hold a prayer vigil for Allahnia Lenoir’s safe return. The prayer vigil took place outside Peachtree Midtown Apartments at 1660 Peachtree Street - the apartment complex where police said she was last seen.

"There are three people who saw my daughter and all three have a different story," Lenoir's mother Jannette Jackson told FOX 5. "I deserve to know … we deserve to know what happened to her."

It’s been eight days since family and friends said they’d last heard from her. Jackson said her daughter went out with a girlfriend the night of Saturday, July 30, and they met up with two men at the apartment in Midtown, but she never came home.

"She would not leave … there’s no reason, there’s no reason so that’s how we know that she had to be taken," she said.

Lenoir’s mother told reporters on Sunday the family is concerned she may have been abducted. Atlanta Police have not confirmed whether they believe that’s the case.

Officials with the apartment complex said they are aware of the missing person’s investigation and are cooperating with police.

"What’s not comfortable is somebody having information and not sharing that…I cannot accept that as a mother and I will not," Jackson said.

Family and friends hosted a prayer vigil for her safe return Sunday morning. They canvassed the area where authorities say she was last seen - posting flyers and asking people to keep an eye out for her.

Close relatives said Lenoir liked to go out, loved to eat and spend time with loved ones.

"I just pray that she has food where she is," her mother said.

Alliahnia's father, Abraham Lenoir, said he believes his daughter is still alive.

"Just stay strong, Alliahnia," he said in a message to his daughter. "We'll find you."

She is described as being 5-foot-4, weighing about 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue shorts, and cream-colored shoes.
