An eight-drawer dresser sold on Amazon is being recalled because it may pose a tip-over and serious injury risk.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said in a Dec. 18 recall notice that 16,800 dressers recalled are unstable. If the product isn't anchored to the wall, it may lead to entrapment hazards that could result in "serious injuries or death to children."

So far, no injuries have been reported from use of the dresser.

CPSC officials went on to explain that the dressers violate the mandatory standard as required by the STURDY Act.

What dresser is being recalled?

Why you should care:

Furnulem 8-Drawer Dressers have been recalled. These items were sold in black, brown and white and measure about 13.8 inches long by 45 inches wide by 29.7 inches tall.

The dressers were sold on Amazon between September 2023 and November 2025 for $80.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the dressers have a metal frame, a wooden top with recessed power outlets and eight collapsible fabric drawers. The model number is "DS-0148D003" and is printed on the packaging.

If I have the recalled dresser, what should I do with it?

What you can do:

Owners of the recalled dressers should stop using them immediately. Consumer Product Safety Commission officials said if the product is not anchored to the wall, they should place it in an area where children cannot access them.

Furthermore, consumers should contact Furnulem for instructions on how to throw away the dressers to receive a full refund. You should also submit a photo to support@furnulem.com demonstrating disposal of the product.
