College Park man sentenced to life for 2022 murder

COLLEGE PARK, Ga. - A College Park man has been convicted and sentenced in the 2022 murder of Arfrederick "Little Fred" Magby Jr.
Dontavius Carr was sentenced to life imprisonment without parole, plus an additional 35 years, following a trial last month.
The backstory:
Evidence showed that Carr opened fire on Magby just before midnight on May 2, 2022, in Magby’s Park Place apartment on Godby Road.
Investigators say two young children witnessed the violence.

Magby was struck multiple times and later died at the hospital.
