A Freeze Warning remains in effect for counties across Georgia until 11 a.m. Sunday.

Atlanta residents woke up to 25 degrees, the coldest temperatures in Atlanta this season, but warmer temperatures are on the way.

The good news is, there will be sunshine.

It's projected to reach 46 degrees by 2 p.m. and 52 degrees by 5 p.m.

On Saturday, there were sustained wind gusts of 29 miles per hour in Atlanta, adding a brutal wind-chill factor to temperatures below freezing on Saturday morning.

Lingering snow showers left some snow accumulation in north Georgia, but the majority was farther north on the east coast

Prepare for temperatures to dramatically drop as cold winter blast moves into Georgia
