Hall County murder trial for Jessica Motes delayed
The high-stakes murder trial of Jessica Motes, 36, has been continued following a brief hearing at the Hall County Courthouse on Monday morning. Jury selection was originally scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. for the death penalty case, but court officials confirmed the delay shortly after the session was called to order. Motes is facing the state’s ultimate punishment in connection with the October 2025 death of 4-year-old Autumn Fox, whose body was discovered in the trunk of a car in a Sam’s Club parking lot.
