WHCD suspect charged: 'Friendly Federal Assassin' faces life
Cole Tomas Allen, 31, of Torrance, California, made his initial appearance in federal court on Monday, where he was formally charged with the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump. The DOJ confirms that Allen, who allegedly stormed a security checkpoint at the Washington Hilton during Saturday's White House Correspondents' Dinner, could face life in prison if convicted on the current slate of federal charges. A detention hearing has been scheduled for this Thursday, April 30, as Allen remains in federal custody without bond.
