Holiday chips arrive as shoppers start spending
Lay’s is rolling out limited-time holiday flavors, including cheddar, scalloped potato and holiday turkey chips starting Sunday, followed by maple bacon and chocolate-covered chips Nov. 8. The launch comes as shoppers begin holiday buying earlier, and the National Retail Federation forecasts more than $1 trillion in seasonal spending, up 4.2% from last year. A retail expert says nostalgic products and in-store shopping are gaining appeal, while consumers shopping online should watch for scams and fake reviews.
