'Walk for Peace' monks reach Richmond on Day 100
A group of Buddhist monks on a 2,300-mile "Walk for Peace" reached Richmond, Virginia, on Monday, marking the 100th day of their journey. The monks, who traveled through Metro Atlanta in late December, held a public rally at Richmond City Hall after walking from a local fire station. The pilgrimage began in Texas and is set to conclude in Washington, D.C., later this month. Supporters along the route continue to join the silent, mindful march to promote global compassion and nonviolence.
