Tuesday afternoon forecast

A Level 2 severe weather risk is moving into North Georgia with the main threats arriving Wednesday afternoon and evening. Forecasters are warning of 60 mph wind gusts, large hail, and a low-end tornado risk that could reach EF2 strength in Western Georgia. A flood watch is also in effect for Metro Atlanta as rainfall totals could reach 2.5 inches.
