12-year-old student dies after off-campus fight

A community is in mourning after Jada West, a 12-year-old student at Mason Creek Middle School, passed away following a fight that occurred off-campus last Thursday. The Villa Rica Police Department and the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office are currently investigating the incident, which family members say was the result of ongoing bullying.
