Georgia leaders honor victims of Atlanta spa shootings

Monday, March 16, 2026, marks exactly five years since eight people were killed in a shooting spree at three metro Atlanta spas. State Representative Long Tran (D-Dunwoody) and members of the AAPI Caucus gathered on the South Wing steps of the Georgia State Capitol to honor the lives lost and reflect on the progress made in the half-decade since the tragedy. The anniversary serves as a somber reminder of the 2021 attacks that took the lives of six women of Asian descent, sparking a national movement against anti-Asian hate and gender-based violence.
