New tech puts telehealth ER doctors at the scene of 911 calls

A growing number of metro Atlanta counties offer a telehealth alternative option to an ambulance ride to the local emergency room. The new technology helps first responders give 911-caller immediate access to an ER doctor's opinion right at the scene to determine if the caller requires a costly trip in an ambulance.
