Buddhist monks draw large crowd in Snellville
A powerful moment of unity unfolded in Snellville on Dec. 31 as the group of Buddhist monks walking more than 2,300 miles for peace gathered with the community at a local temple. The monks paused their journey to speak and pray at a local temple. While there they were greeted by their fellow monk who was injured earlier in the walk, each stopping to offer flowers and prayers. A large crowd turned out in support, showing solidarity with the monks’ message of compassion, healing, and perseverance.
