APD searching for 'Hot Rod' after a shooting

The Atlanta Police Department is calling on the public to help identify a man known as "Hot Rod" in connection with a shooting that occurred last Thursday. Investigators say a late-night gathering quickly turned violent, leaving one man hospitalized. Officers responded to 1579 Joseph E. Boone Blvd NW around 12:30 a.m. on May 7, 2026, where they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
