Lassiter Trojans win first region title since 1991
The Lassiter Trojans have ended a 35-year drought by capturing the Region 6 Class 5A Championship, their first since 1991. Led by third-year coach Jay McCauley, the experienced squad—boasting nine seniors—finished the regular season with a stellar 24-3 record. Now, the Trojans are shifting their focus from regional success to a state title as they host Veterans High in the opening round of the playoffs.
