World Trade Center steel beam arrives at Home Depot HQ
A powerful piece of American history is in the heart of Atlanta on Thursday, May 14, 2026. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation has brought its "Steel Across America" tour to The Home Depot Store Support Center for a solemn day of remembrance and education. The centerpiece of the visit is a massive, 16,000-pound steel beam recovered from the South Tower of the original World Trade Center. Today’s stop marks a major milestone in a 10,500-mile, coast-to-coast journey leading up to the 25th anniversary of 9/11.
