Carter Work Project kicks off in Southwest Atlanta
The spirit of service is taking over Southwest Atlanta this morning as the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project officially kicks off. Starting Monday, thousands of volunteers from across the globe have touched down at Langston Park with a massive goal: building 24 affordable homes in just five days. This global signature event, hosted by Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, honors the enduring legacy of Georgia’s own U.S. President and late First Lady, proving that their mission of affordable homeownership remains as vibrant as ever.
