DeKalb EMT Academy kicks off lifesaving training
As National CPR & AED Awareness Week (June 1–7) gets underway, a new wave of future first responders is hitting the ground running in DeKalb County. AMR DeKalb’s new EMT Academy hosted a critical hands-on training session Tuesday, putting students through rigorous, real-world simulations of hands-only CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) deployment. For these students, the training isn't just an academic requirement—it's a skill set they could be using on local ambulances to save lives right here in the community by this November.
