Dooley concedes Senate runoff: 'For the voters'

Standing before a packed, emotionally charged room of supporters at Park Bench at The Battery, political outsider Derek Dooley officially delivered his concession speech on Tuesday night. The announcement followed a projection by the Associated Press naming his opponent, Congressman Mike Collins, the winner of the highly contested Republican primary runoff for the U.S. Senate. Despite a grueling, monthslong campaign heavily backstopped by outgoing Governor Brian Kemp, the final reporting districts favored Collins’ late-breaking momentum following an 11th-hour endorsement from Donald Trump.
