Atlanta Congo Coalition announces economic and cultural expo
Leaders from Atlanta’s vibrant African diaspora gathered downtown to announce a major cultural and economic initiative aimed at reshaping how the world views the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The Atlanta Congo Coalition and the Congolese Community of Atlanta are partnering to launch an upcoming international expo designed to bridge metro Atlanta’s business engine with the emerging economic opportunities in Central Africa. Organizers say the event is part of a broader "Congo Week Atlanta" initiative scheduled for later this month.
