Atlanta lifts boil water advisory

The City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management lifted a water boil advisory placed into effect on May 22, 2026. The advisory was forced into effect by a power failure at the Hemphill treatment facility. The DWM says safety tests have been conducted and the water is safe to consume.
