Metro leaders urge veto of nonpartisan DA elections bill

Leaders from five metro Atlanta counties joined State House Democrats at the Capitol Tuesday to demand a veto of House Bill 369. The legislation, which has passed the General Assembly, would mandate nonpartisan elections for District Attorneys and other offices in Fulton, DeKalb, Gwinnett, Cobb, and Clayton counties. Officials warn the bill undermines voter transparency, raises constitutional concerns, and specifically targets diverse metro communities.
