Free prostate screenings aim to close health gaps

Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University and Cobb County Public Library are working together to help close health barriers + disparities. Now man who are uninsured or can't afford a prostate screening will be able to get checked for cancer screenings through a free mobile clinic. Per Emory, Black men are at a higher risk to get prostate cancer and its second leading cause of cancer deaths among men in the state of Georgia, The first clinic at a Cobb library is scheduled for Wednesday, May 6, 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Switzer Library, 266 Roswell St. in downtown Marietta.
