Pentagon identifies six airmen killed in KC-135 crash in Iraq

The Department of Defense has identified the six U.S. Air Force members who died when their KC-135 refueling aircraft crashed in western Iraq. The tragedy occurred during a combat mission in support of Operation Epic Fury, the ongoing U.S. military campaign against Iran. U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed the crash happened in "friendly airspace" near the Iraqi-Jordanian border and was not the result of hostile or friendly fire. The incident reportedly involved a midair collision with a second KC-135, which sustained significant damage but was able to land safely in Israel.
