Gov. Kemp sets June 17 for Georgia redistricting session

Gov. Brian Kemp ordered Georgia lawmakers to return to Atlanta for a special session starting June 17 to redraw the state’s political maps and address election security laws. The session, set to begin the day after runoff elections, will respond to a recent Supreme Court ruling on the Voting Rights Act while tackling a looming deadline to eliminate QR codes from ballots.
