Rodney Taylor speaks after 473-day ICE detention

For the first time in more than 15 months, Loganville barber Rodney Taylor stood before a microphone as a free man. At a high stakes press conference on May 11, the double amputee whose detention sparked a national movement shared the harrowing details of his nearly 500 days in federal custody. Standing alongside his wife, Mildred, and U.S. Congresswoman Lucy McBath, Taylor addressed a crowd of supporters at the offices of Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Atlanta, marking the end of a 15-month legal and medical battle.
