Pastor pleads for help after illegal dumping

A local place of worship has become a dumping ground for hundreds of discarded tires, leaving a South DeKalb pastor desperate for a solution. The pile, located on the property of The Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church off Glenwood Road, has grown so large it is now being described as a significant environmental and fire hazard. Leaders revealed today that there are an estimated 37,000 illegally dumped tires scattered across DeKalb County.
