Former DeKalb superintendent arrested on felony charges
Devon Horton, former DeKalb County Schools superintendent, was arrested Saturday on felony aggravated assault and child cruelty charges following a domestic dispute at his home. Children were present during the alleged incident. Horton, already facing a 17-count federal indictment in Illinois, remains in jail. His attorney says the dispute was personal, with no child involved, and Horton’s wife does not want charges pursued. The school district confirms the arrest is unrelated to his former role.
