Cobb County gala honors acts of police compassion

In Cobb County, a local foundation is turning a late police officer’s last request into a movement of kindness. The Gotcha Covered Blankets Foundation, started by Donna and Paul Georgiana, honors their son Mitchell—a Smyrna police officer who asked for blankets to give to the homeless just 22 days before he passed.
